Mark Jensen
National Director for Venture Capital Services
Deloitte & Touche

Mark Jensen brings a diverse background to his role as a partner and National Director for venture capital services at Deloitte & Touche. An integral resource within the firm's Growth Company Services client program, Mark focuses on both venture capital firms and venture-backed companies.

Prior to joining Deloitte & Touche, Jensen was the CFO for Redleaf Group Inc., a venture capital firm providing services and capital for pre-seed and seed-stage technology companies. He joined Redleaf after serving as the Silicon Valley office managing partner and global high-technology industry leader for another Big 5 professional services firm and, in that capacity, was responsible for building that firm's technology-industry program worldwide. Jensen has also served an as audit partner and business advisor to numerous companies including Flextronics, Iomega, Broadvision, Cadence, and Mayfield funds.

Active in the community, Jensen is the treasurer for the National Conference for Community and Justice; board member of the Joint Venture Silicon Valley/Challenge 2000; a Senior Fellow for the American Leadership Forum of Silicon Valley; and is Chairman of the Board of the Silicon Valley Association of Start-up Entrepreneurs.

Jensen earned a bachelor of arts degree from Colorado State University and a bachelor of science degree from Metropolitan State College of Denver. He has attended numerous post-graduate courses and executive-level seminars, including a CEO-level managing innovation program at INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.

Ned Hooper
Senior Director, Corporate Business Development
Cisco Systems
Ned is responsible for corporate business development for the access, aggregation, and applications markets for Cisco Systems. In this role, he leads a team responsible for developing corporate strategy for these segments and leads acquisitions and private equity investments in these markets. Ned recently led Cisco's entry into the Home Networking market with the $500 million acquisition of Linksys. Other recent acquisitions include Psionic Software and Okena, Inc. which have extended Cisco's Security Market leadership in intrusion prevention software. Ned also leads Cisco's private equity investment strategy which includes a portfolio of over 100 investments.

At Cisco, prior to his current role, Ned was responsible for creating and implementing Cisco's strategy for entering the packet telephony local services market and led a Product Management team that delivered and implemented a solution for CLEC and Cable MSOs to provide Class 5 VoIP services. Ned has been with Cisco since 1997, joining through the acquisition of Lightspeed International, a start-up, where he was Director of Business Development responsible for implementing a global distribution strategy. He also has experience in product management and global business development with MCI and Concert.

Ned has an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business where he earning thee faculty award for academic excellence, and a BA from the University of Colorado.
